A microchip is as small as a grain of rice, and can be implanted into your horse for tamper-proof, permanent identification
FEI Compliant Microchip Implantation Service
FEI is now requiring microchips to be implanted in all horses newly registering for:
- FEI Passport
- FEI Recognition Card
- FEI Registration
- FEI ID Card
The microchip should be implanted by a veterinarian using aseptic techniques to prevent infection. It should be placed on the left side at the mid-point of the nuchal ligament between the poll and withers.
FEI rules state that the Microchip must be ISO 11784 and compatible with ISO 11785
Our microchips are FEI compliant.
